Esselte verkoopt kantoorartikelen onder de merknamen DYMO, Esselte, Leitz en Pendaflex in meer dan 120 landen. Het miljoenencontract met Equant heeft een looptijd van vijf jaar. Het op MPLS gebaseerde IP VPN, dat Equant zal installeren, vervangt een frame relay netwerk van AT&T. Er komen IP VPN locaties in Azië, Australië, Europa en Noord-Amerika. Bovendien zal Equant een IP dial oplossing leveren voor ongeveer 500 mobiele gebruikers.

WASHINGTON (Sept. 25, 2003) – Equant (NYSE: ENT) (Euronext Paris: EQU), a recognized industry leader in global IP and data services for multinational businesses, has been selected to implement an IP VPN with 50 locations across four continents for Esselte, the world’s leading global office supplies manufacturer.
Esselte sells office products under the brand names of DYMO, Esselte, Leitz and Pendaflex, in more than 120 countries.
Under a five-year, multimillion dollar agreement, Equant will implement an MPLS-based IP VPN, replacing a frame relay network provided by AT&T. IP VPN sites will be located in Asia, Australia, Europe and North America. In addition, Equant will provide an IP dial solution for about 500 traveling users.
